What this really shows me is that Europe and the UK (who somehow consider themselves separate from Europe) have better commercials than we do. When I lived there people would say this to me and I thought they were full of crap... and of all things, TV is not something the british should lecture anyone on - much like they wouldn't dare lecture anyone on cuisine. But upon returning to the states, I came to the realization that while their television sucks, their commercials are cooler than ours. Our commercials are still, by and large, evolved from that 60s model of "I use to work so hard in the kitchen scrubbing away. UNTIL I TRIED EXTA-CLEAN CLOROX, WITH WHITE BOOSTER!"
Theirs are mini movies. Much more engaging. Then again, I'd still TiVo past them if I were in England today.
